The work-based learning internships opportunities provide students with a jump start on their future career. Students can work in the industry related to a field of their choice simply by signing up for a work based learning CTE internship and taking a related CTE class.

Intern Requirements
Junior or Senior
No F’s allowed on current grades
Good school attendance
Have taken or are currently enrolled in a Career and Technical Education CTE elective related class 9th-12th grade CTE classes accepted.
Students must have access to a car or other transportation to and from the internship workplace.

Ms. Frandsen will be your Canvas teacher and grade your LinkedIn profile. Interns meet in the library computer lab or C-100 every other week. The online course, workplace skills, is a required component of the internship and must be completed in order for the student to receive credit.

Tabitha's Way Local Food Pantry in Spanish Fork is hosting its 14th Annual Gear Up for School Event where we will be handing out 1,200 free backpacks full of school supplies to families in need as well as free resources and a free lunch to all children who attend the event.

This event will be held on July 26, 2025, at Riverview Elementary School at 628 S West Park Dr, Spanish Fork, from 9 - 11 am.

Kids Cause is excited to invite you to our Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 2! This event will support students in Nebo School District by helping provide glasses, dental work, clothing, and other essentials. Kids Cause works closely with school social workers and administrators to identify students who need extra help, making a real difference in our community. The tournament promises a fun day for a great cause — just $60 per person! Bring your own foursome if possible! Lunch will be provided, and there will be lots of prizes to win throughout the day. Come enjoy a round of golf and help us continue supporting kids in need! We hope to see you there!

Foothills Elementary is excited to sponsor the 1st Annual Graduation Parade for the SHHS Class of 2025! If you are a graduating senior, you are invited to return to the elementary school you attended in Salem to march in a parade and inspire current students. If you didn’t attend Foothills, Mt. Congratulations to our students of the week! Courtney Peterson: A year ago, Courtney played a key role in helping our team take third place at state tournament and this year she has picked up where she left off. She works very hard at her golf game and is always very coachable. She is top 10 in our region and I expect her to keep getting better. So grateful Courtney is part of our team. Eira Groberg: Eira set new personal bests in the 800 m (2:28.28) and 1600 m (5:30.03) distances at the Orem Tiger Trials. Joaquin Cardenas: Joaquin set his new personal best in the 1600 m with a time of 4:31.07 at the Skyhawk Invite. Dante Hunt: Dante is a strong player whose love of music is readily evident. He has been in the chamber orchestra and Nebo Youth orchestra in the past, and this year has come to the first 20 minutes of chamber every day to play along even though he has a class at the ALC. He performed well at Region Solo and Ensemble Festival, both as a soloist and in a quartet. Dante is an asset to the orchestra, and we'll miss him when he graduates!

We are thrilled to share that over 100 music students represented Salem Hills High School this weekend at this year's State Solo & Ensemble Festival! Among those students, we had 45 total entries, including piano solos, our chamber orchestra, percussion ensemble, and a variety of vocal and instrumental soloists and small ensembles. All 45 entries performed exceptionally well and showcased the incredible talent we have here at SHHS. Of those, 23 entries earned superior ratings—the highest possible distinction—including seven soloists who will receive a special medal of honor to wear at graduation.

Congratulations Salem Hills Skyhawks! They competed in the first ever Reagan Debate Series in Utah and brought home 1st overall (Libby Hancock), $10,000 in scholarships ($5K each to Libby Hancock and Jeremy Ashton), and 5 of 8 quarter finalists (Libby Hancock, Jeremy Ashton, Kevan Thorne, Maddie Isom, and Liz Berg)!

Congratulations to our FFA team! They took 1st place in Meats Evaluation & Technology and are headed to Nationals! Trevor Coffman took 2nd place and he along with Carl Wilson won a scholarship to attend Bridgerland Tech Colleges Meat cutting program!

Sophomore Navy Hubbs has been dominating the competition in Region 7 golf this year. She has won all five of her region matches and is one of the top players in the state. Today she shot a school record 65 (7 under) at Timpanogos Golf Club. She is a phenomenal student athlete.
