We are thrilled to share that our third graders recently wrapped up their Native American CKLA unit with an engaging presentation! McKenzie Wilber from Nebo School District's Title 6 program joined us to teach about her tribe's rich cultural heritage. She captivated the students with traditional Native American clothing and showcased her incredible hoop dancing skills. This experiential learning opportunity not only deepened the students' understanding of Native American culture but also inspired them to appreciate the beauty of diversity. Thank you to McKenzie for sharing her passion and knowledge with our young learners!

First grade had so much fun studying animals in their habitats and making dioramas!

Today 4th grade got to use Ozobots to map out the events that led up to the American Revolutionary War. Technology is so fun!

Second grade ended their CKLA Human Body domain by participating in a food tasting! Students got to try foods like hummus, snap peas, bell peppers, cheese & more! It was a great way to celebrate their learning!

Today in Mrs. Barney’s class, the students struck gold—geometry gold! They had a blast learning how to divide shapes into smaller shapes. It felt like a treasure hunt as they used manipulatives to discover all the different ways to break shapes down.
Later in the day, they kept the St. Patrick’s Day fun going with fantastic stories about leprechauns, luck, and mischief. Then, they got creative and made their very own leprechauns!

Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Fun Fact: Saint Patrick was from Wales. When he was 16, he was kidnapped by Ireland and was made a slave for 6 years before being able to return to Wales. He later went back to Ireland in an effort to spread Christianity. Today he is known as the patron saint of Ireland. He teaches the valuable lessons of 1. Incredible forgiveness and 2. Looking for possibilities in problems.☘️

Fourth grade celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with some yummy green pancakes and green milk! 🥞🍀

Second Grade has been learning all about the Human Body - today they created meal plans based upon nutritous choices.

First graders in Mrs. Vaquerano’s class had a great time trying to guess what shape was on their head while their classmates described the shapes by their attributes.

Kinder fun!

Mrs Toelupe’s class has been working hard on recognizing, counting, and writing the numbers 0-20. Students mastering these concepts became “Knights of the Math Table.”

Today in Mrs. Barney's class, students learned how to stretch their sentences and improve their writing through peer editing.
